Hang-tab tuck top, open bottom carton (top on panel 1)

ECMA A01.21.00.01. Top: a tuck lid with dust flaps, the back panel running on past the end into a hang tab with a euro slot for a peg hook. Bottom: open, with no flaps - for a sleeve, a display, or a carton that slides into a tray or an outer. The top closure hangs from panel 1. Panels are counted from the glue joint, as the ECMA code counts them: panel 1 carries the joint and panel 3 is opposite it.

Friction lock: the tongue's shoulders ride over the dust flaps and hold by friction. Slit lock: two slits on the tuck crease make the tongue's corners catch, so the end has to be pressed to open.
