PD-02-005ECMA-A10.20.01.01

Tuck top, glued bottom carton (top on panel 1)

ECMA A10.20.01.01. Top: a tuck lid with its tongue and two dust flaps, opened and closed again by hand, with a friction or a slit lock. Bottom: four flaps glued shut on the line - full overlap (ECMA 10), or one full flap over three reduced ones (ECMA 11), chosen in the settings. The top closure hangs from panel 1. Panels are counted from the glue joint, as the ECMA code counts them: panel 1 carries the joint and panel 3 is opposite it. The same die is also ECMA A10.20.03.01, A11.20.01.01, A11.20.03.01, A20.10.01.01, A20.10.01.03, A20.11.01.01, A20.11.01.03: the glued end's flap form (full overlap 10 or reduced flaps 11) and the panel of its outer flap are settings; turned end over end, with the glue joint on the other hand, it is the carton filled from its other end.

Friction lock: the tongue's shoulders ride over the dust flaps and hold by friction. Slit lock: two slits on the tuck crease make the tongue's corners catch, so the end has to be pressed to open.

Full overlap: the inner and outer flaps both reach across the end and are glued face to face. Reduced flaps: only the outer flap reaches across; the other three are cut short and it is glued down onto them.

Which panel the flap that comes down last hangs from, counted from the glue joint as the ECMA code counts. It decides which face shows the glue line, so it follows the print.
